The FjordHorse List Web site is currently under construction

I’ve put up this abbreviated site as a temporary measure so those interested in joining (or leaving) the List may do so by sending subscription requests directly to the List server by email. If you follow the instructions here you should be able to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the List very easily.

First, you must decide in what format you wish to receive the List. There are two -- Individual and Digest. If you receive the Individual format of the List you will get each and every message sent to the list almost as soon as they are sent. This gives you an immediacy to ongoing discussions but it also means that your daily message count could be very high. On the other hand, the Digest format combines each and every message sent to into a single message sent to you once a day. This means you might have to wait a whole day to see the answer in an interesting discussion, but it also means you will only be getting one message per day. If you’re having trouble making up your mind, you might like to know that about three-quarters of current subscribers have chosen the Digest version.

OK, now that you’ve figured that out, here is how to handle the actual interaction with the List server. First, you want to make sure you are emailing for the address at which you wish to receive the List. (If you are leaving us, make sure you are emailing from the address at which you have received the list.)

Send an email message with no subject line to the following address:

Include the appropriate single line message shown in italics below:

If you should find you want to change the format in which you receive the List, simply unsubscribe from the current format and subscribe again in the other. If you change your email address simply unsubscribe from the old address and resubscribe usIing the new address.
